The first satellite of India named Aryabhata it was launched by India on 19 April 1975 from Kapustin Yar, a Russian rocket Kosmos-3M launch vehicle. The satellite was assembled at Peenya, near Bangalore, but was launched by a Russian-made rocket. It was built by ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organisation ). Aryabhata name was of a astronomer and mathematician of India  after 5th century it was named by the same name. Between 1976 and 1997 satellite Aryabhata  image appeared the back of 2 rupee (Indian Bank Note) and the between of 1 rupee.
